The aim of this study is to compare the level of cardio respiratory fitness and the body fat percentage of blind male pupils with sighted ones.
Therefore we selected a sample comprised 50 pupils (25 persons with visual impairment or blindness and 25 sighted ones) all of them were boys, the average of age 16.38±0.72 for the persons with visual impairment or blindness and 16.26±0.67 for the others.
We used the descriptive method and carried out all tests and measures in a special courtyard of sport and physical education in Tlemcen, We made to the pupils a race test over a distance of 01 Mile to measure their cardio respiratory fitness level and we also measured skin folds in 03 different areas (the chest, abdomen and mid-thigh), to measure the body fat percentage.
We conclude from our results that persons with visual impairment have a lower level of cardio respiratory fitness and the body fat percentage in comparison with sighted ones (p<0.01), we recommend the application of physical programs to improve the maximum consumption and reduce the body fat percentage, and carry out awareness campaigns to engage them in physical activity
