Abstract

The article considers the problem of reducing motor activity influence to the functional state of university students during the studying process. Staying healthy in the process of education is its unquestionable condition, but a matter of serious concern is the tendency to reduce the number of hours a week on physical training classes in higher education institutions. The sociological survey carried out by the authors showed that the motor load of the students changes during the studying process in the declining direction and by the last course of study it becomes critically low, while the static and mental load increases, especially during the end-of-term tests and final qualification examinations. All of the above points significantly affect the health of students and may further lead to medical problems. Also, with the help of a social survey, the authors found out what physical activities students prefer during their studies at university. The aim of the survey was to develop a syllabus to increase the level of physical activity of students by using in class those sports that are preferable regardless of the course of study
